Princess Fūrak
On Saturday Bahram steps into the black pavilion of Saturn, where everything is shadow, incense and whisper. There he meets Furak, the Indian princess, who tells him a story of a love so intense that it can never be fulfilled, only carried like a hidden fire in the heart.

Story
Furak tells Bahram about a young man and woman who fall in love at first glance, but their families are enemies and refuse any union. The lovers meet only in dreams and stolen, distant glimpses. Rather than eloping and plunging their world into bloodshed, they choose separation to protect their people.
Years pass, and both marry others, raise children, and fulfil their duties. Outwardly their lives look successful, but in their hearts the first love never dies. When they are old, they meet once more by chance. There is nothing left for them to do except acknowledge the truth: their love was real, but it was not meant to be lived in this world.
Furak explains that the tale is not about weakness, but about understanding limits. Some loves arrive to change us, not to be possessed. By listening, Bahram begins to learn that power cannot bend everything to his will, and that even a king must accept what cannot be his.

From the artist
In this painting I wanted the black not to feel empty, but full. Unfulfilled love is still love; it shapes a person as strongly as any happy ending. The figures in this work are close yet separated by subtle lines and shadows, like two silhouettes standing on opposite sides of a thin wall.
For me, Furak’s story is about the first confrontation with limits: the moment we realise that wanting something deeply is not the same as being entitled to it. This is where Bahram’s journey begins, and I wanted the viewer to feel that first sharp ache.

Фурак рассказывает о юноше и девушке, которые влюбились с первого взгляда, но их семьи были врагами и категорически отвергали любой союз. Влюблённые встречались только во снах и редких, украденных взглядах издалека. Вместо того чтобы бежать и втянуть весь мир в кровавую вражду, они выбирают разлуку, чтобы не разрушить своих близких.
Проходят годы. Оба создают семьи, растят детей, исполняют свой долг. Снаружи их жизнь выглядит благополучной, но в глубине души первая любовь не умирает. В старости они случайно встречаются снова. Им уже нечего предпринимать, остаётся только признать правду: их любовь была реальной, но не предназначенной для земного исполнения.
Фурак объясняет, что речь не о слабости, а о принятии границ. Некоторые чувства даны нам не для обладания, а для внутреннего преобразования. Слушая её, Бахрам впервые понимает, что даже царская власть не может подчинить себе всё, и что иногда нужно принять то, что никогда не станет «моим».

От художника
В этой работе мне было важно, чтобы чёрный цвет не казался пустотой. Неразделённая любовь – всё равно любовь; она формирует человека не меньше, чем счастливый финал. Фигуры здесь близки, но разделены тонкими линиями и тенями, словно два силуэта по разные стороны почти невидимой стены.
Для меня история Фурак - это первый удар о границы: момент, когда мы понимаем, что сильное желание ещё не даёт права на обладание. Именно отсюда начинается путь Бахрама.
